Serving over nine years as an judge advocate in the U.S. Air Force, John held assignments around the globe as a criminal prosecutor, criminal defense counsel, civil trial attorney, and trial advocacy instructor. As a civil trial attorney, he received the Secretary of the Air Force's General Counsel Award for 2004 for his work defending a series of multi-million dollar employment class action lawsuits
